Old construction materials that are no longer considered safe but still found in many homes: lead piping, brass piping, cast iron bell and spigot drain lines with lead and okeum joints, 50/50 leaded solder. Renovations to these sites should include replacement of the above with: PVC piping, copper in place of brass, with 95/5 unleaded solder.
